Many struggle to believe the Bible. They see it as a story that gives some good recommendations on how to prosper in their lives but nothing more. The Bible is God’s living word. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,” 2 Tim 3:16.

We are to be doers of the word, not just hearers. “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.” James 1:22-24

Live God’s word today. Here is a challenge for the new year. Pick a scripture and do what it says.

Proclaim today, “Lord, because your word says it, I will believe it and do what it says.
