Lifted up

So many hearts are cast down this time of year and should be lifted to our wonderful Savior. Whether you have had a loss and the memories of your loved one are causing you to feel a heaviness or the stress of the holidays are causing you to want to get through them. You can change all this burden and be lifted up by God.

First, decide to draw near to God. When we draw near to Him, He draws near to us (James 4:7). Second, pray, Lord, help me to give you everything that may burden me and pull me closer. Forgive me, Lord, if I have transgressed against you. Could you help me to walk the way you desire?

Third, “put on righteousness as a breastplate (Love, protects your heart) and helmet of salvation on His head (hope, protects your mind).” Isaiah 59:17

Fourth, thank and praise God, “But You Lord are a shield around me, my glory, and the lifter of my head” Psalm 3:3
