Last days… any faithful?

Jesus time had come; it was the last days. Jesus said, “All ye shall be offended because of me…Peter answered and said unto him, “Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.” Mathew 26:31, 33. Peter’s mouth proclaimed he would never fall away, yet when it came time to follow through with what he declared, fear overtook him.

Panning forward 2000 years, what does Jesus say about the times we live in, “And then shall many be offended” Mathew 24:10. Many are going to be offended by Jesus; they are going to come against us. How are we going to respond? “…when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:18

Jesus asked Peter three times a vital question to restore his relationship with Him, “So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Feed My lambs.” John 21:15. We are to not only proclaim our love for Jesus, but we are also to demonstrate our love.

“So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” James 1:21-22

Remember, how we respond to the question, “do you love me?” determines life or death.
