Last chance

I know about last chances. I was living my life up and did not need the Lord. At least that is what I thought. Three people brought forward God’s word to me over the years, and I graciously declined each person. When I tore up a Bible track that a person gave me at work, my house burned to the ground that hour.   It was Ash Wednesday.

A few days after I lost my house, I found my wooden cross buried in the ashes.  At the moment when I touched the cross, the faces of all those who brought forward God’s word to me flashed before my eyes.   I had a knowing, that this was it, my last chance to accept Christ as my savior.

God is a patient God.  However, He is also a just God.  The sin above all sins is to reject Jesus Christ as your savior.  Don’t miss your opportunity to receive Jesus into your life.

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” 2 Peter 3:9
