I just read an article in a newspaper where it declared that “Dead is dead” and dead is an absolute. Is dead, dead? If you have experienced a loss due to death, this is unthinkable.
The Bible reflects that Jesus raised, at least, three people from the dead (Luke 7:12-15, Mathew 9:25, John 11:43-44), Jesus was raised from the dead (Mathew 28:5-7) and we have an eternal life “… this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life.” 1 John 2:25 NKJV.
However, if you are not saved, it could be an absolute. If you are saved and you are not on fire for our Lord, you may have to die to have a life. “For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.” Romans 8:13 NKJV.
So, I submit to you, that there is hope in Jesus Christ, in which dead is not dead. Through death, there is life! “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 NKJV
