Social media, does it have a false sense of inclusion? The rate of church attendance has declined dramatically in the last two decades. Even committed church attenders are attending less. Many believe that as long as they are getting fed spiritually that there okay. Online attendance has increased dramatically. However, God has created us to be in fellowship and part of the body of Christ. Connecting online does not allow the means to be an active member of the church body (1 Cor 12:12-27).
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7
The Gallup reported “The decline in church membership is consistent with larger societal trends in declining church attendance and an increasing proportion of Americans with no religious preference.”
Are we trending toward one world religion (Revelation 13:11-14)?
Jesus was asked by the disciples “what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Mathew 24:3. The first words out of Jesus’s mouth were, “Take heed that no man deceive you.” Mathew 24:4
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:23-26
