If you have had a loss of a love one, you may have said these words,
“Lord if you had been here…” John 11:21
Martha and Mary grieved at the loss of their brother Lazarus. They could not understand why when they had sent word to Jesus that their brother was sick, that Jesus did not come. You may have called out, prayed to Jesus for your loved one, and the outcome was not what you expected.
God is always present, even when we do not recognize Him.
David expressed God’s ever presence in our lives beautifully when he said, “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,” Psalm 139:7-12
Your heart may be pondering and formulating, “Why Lord, if you were present, then why Lord.”
“The LORD is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works.” Psalms 145:17 NKJV
Right Before Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, He said to Martha, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” God desires to express to you His glorious ways. Seek Him, and He will lift you.
