I have heard it said, if you do good you will go to heaven. What is good? One man’s goodness is not another’s. What does God say, “My people are fools; they do not know me. They are senseless children; they have no understanding. They are skilled in doing evil; they know not how to do good.” Jeremiah 4:22

“There is none righteous, no, not one; Romans 3:10. Jesus said, “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” John 8:24

We get to Heaven not in our righteousness (goodness), but in Jesus’s righteousness. We must believe in Him. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
