If God is in control of all things, then why….? This question may have come to mind if you have suffered a loss.  

Why do people have to suffer? People suffer because we live in a fallen world. God offers us a way out. He sent His son Jesus, who suffered on the cross and bore our pain and suffering so we would no longer have to suffer.  

“Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our [h]sorrows;

Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,

And by His stripes[m] we are healed.” Isaiah 53:4-6

We overcome when we embrace what Christ has done on the cross and testify to His works.

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” Revelation 12:11
