I shall not want
“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want” Psalm 23:1
How profound a statement! There should be nothing we need or have a desire for. If the Lord is our shepherd, He meets all of our needs. We do not want for anything.
The reason we shall not want, is we have been given all, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:” Ephesians 1:3.
What condition must be met? Jesus needs to be the shepherd (master), the one leading; have you laid down all to Him and received His promises. We need to receive what has already been given to us.
“by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” 2 Peter 1:4
