How should I pray?

How should I pray? I was recently asked this question, and to tell you the truth I was stumped for a second. Prayer is such a personal part of our relationship with Christ. Is there a right way to pray? When the disciples came to Jesus and asked Him how they should pray He said, “in this manner pray

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Mathew 6:9-13

We are in a spiritual war and at times you may find you can’t even pray. We are told in Mathew 18:18 we have authority to bind and loose. Bind the principalities, rulers and demons that are coming against you in Jesus name. This is always a good start to any prayer time with the Lord and ask the Holy Spirit to help you pray.

Remember we “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.” Psalm 100:4

Always finish your prayer with “I pray all this in Jesus name.”

“And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” John 14:13-14
