Redeem means “to buy back.” “we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:6
Jesus bought us back from Satan.
“In Him [Jesus] we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” (Ephesians 1:7).
If you meet these conditions, you are redeemed.
- When you “you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9.
- Through the cross, you have been forgiven.
When you have forgiveness of sins, and then you have redemption, you have been redeemed.
