“Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:10-11
I remember that Christmas was a time of great grief, not great joy after my husband passed. All the emotions that would surface would, at times, feel consuming. So how can you have great joy again and survive the holidays if you have lost a loved one?
Jesus is the Prince of peace. Peace in Hebrew means soundness, completeness, and wholeness. Jesus makes us whole again. He brings peace to those that are far off. This holiday season, hold onto the fact that “The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace.” Psalm 29:11.
And He will keep you in perfect peace if you keep your mind fixed on Him (Isaiah 26:3).
