How Alive is Your God?
If we confess that we are a Christian, do we realize how “alive” God is? Would we dare set an extra place setting at the table? Make sure He has a place in the living room when we relax or have guests? Would we be more cautious about the words we speak? Would we be prone to road rage? Would we be more careful where we spent our money? Would we want to take Him everywhere we go? Would we want Him to look at all of the things we see, or hear the things we enjoy listening?
The fact is, He is alive and lives in us. We are the temple of the living God. We are like a glove on His hand. He works through us.
“…For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: ‘I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.’ Therefore ‘Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you. I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the LORD Almighty.’” II Corinthians 6:16b-18 NKJV
