Before you separate…
- What does the Bible say about divorce? “And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery;. . .” Matthew 19: 9a NKJV.
- Sexual immorality is the only reason for divorce in the Bible. But if a spouse or children are being abused, there is no reason to stick around. The Bible does not prevent one from being “separated” out of trouble. Finding a safe place is important.
Assuming that you have are already sought counseling before separation…

- If you find yourself fleeing from your home, the first thing is to have a place of shelter. There are women’s shelters and a few that accommodate men as well. Contact social services or local church.
- Make arrangements for police protection as necessary.
Submit a Prayer Request and/or Deliverance Application for Ministry
Jesus tells us in Luke 4:18, 21 that He heals the brokenhearted. Only looking to Jesus for protection, provision and help will bring complete healing.
