There are many ways suffering can occur with loss of parenthood.
- Loss by death
- Loss by miscarriage/abortion
- Loss because of infertility
- Loss because of unfulfilled dreams to marry and have children
Recommendations:
• Find a support group – Many support groups are available. For the death of a child or miscarriage see Sadierosefoundation.org for additional help.
• Confide is a reliable close friend – Many times confiding your feelings as you process your grief, to a close nonjudgmental friend who is willing just to listen, can help you in your process of healing during a loss.
• Seek professional/medical help – There may be a cause for professional or medical advice concerning ways to help with infertility or other issues that may bring concern.
• Consult a qualified pastor or Christian counselor – A Godly counselor will help you through the process of healing from your loss and give you spiritual hope.
Each area can bring a sense of hopelessness. But there is hope.
“Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him. The help of my countenance and my God. Psalm 43:5 NKJV
