You may have experienced a loss of your innocence through molestation, rape, the divorce of your parents, or loss of friends. You may feel like you should have done something to avoid the situation. You may ask yourself, “Why did I not do something?” Most likely the event was not your fault.
The loss of your innocence may have left an imprint on your life. You may have ignored it and continued as if nothing happened. Another event may have brought the loss to the forefront, but the loss of innocence cannot be buried. You must recognize your loss and resurrect it to deal with it.
Recommendations to begin healing:
- Draw close to God
- Don’t ignore what occurred. Seek help. We are here to help you. Submit a Prayer Request and/or Deliverance Application for Ministry to work through your loss.
- Forgiveness is something we don’t want to think about. However, being able to forgive the person or persons that stole your innocence will set you free.
- Let God lead you thru your healing.
David writes in Psalm 40:11-13 NKJV
“Do not withhold your tender mercies from me, O LORD; let Your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me. For innumerable evils have surrounded me; my iniquities have overtaken me so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of my head; therefore my heart fails me. Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me; O LORD, make haste to help me!”
