Many only go to God when they are in trouble. 2020 was a year of trouble. Pestilence hit the land like a wave and overcame many. The cries went up to the Lord to heal our land. God has heard this cry time and time again. “Midian so impoverished the Israelites that they cried out to the Lord for help.” Judges 6:6

What did God do, “he sent them a prophet, who said, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I brought you up out …. of slavery.   I rescued you ….. And I delivered you from the hand of all your oppressors; I drove them out before you and gave you their land. I said to you, ‘I am the Lord your God; do not worship the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you live.’ But you have not listened to me.” Judges 6:8-10

The people were not listening, they worshipped idols. The people of America are doing the same thing. We have raised up idols to worship. Anything that comes before God is an idol and you are worshipping it.

“So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the LORD your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.” Joel 2:13
