You have been prayed for, and nothing.  You are still sick.  Your first thought is that this prayer thing does not work.  I want you to know that God hears every prayer.  However, sometimes there are barriers to receiving healing—such as unforgiveness, curses, sins, unbelief, and doubt.    Ask the Lord to show you if there are any barriers in your life.

The Bible tells us that the Prayer of the righteous avails much: “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16 and “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will…. will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”  Mathew 16:17-18
