Healing, I don’t get it.

People usually put healing in one of two categories, mystical (spiritually allegorical or symbolic; transcending human understanding/relating to ancient religious mysteries or other occult or esoteric rites.) or scientific. 

We receive thousands of healing requests from people desiring to be healed. We have seen some of the most amazing healings from Stage 4 brain cancer, blind seeing and dead raised and then we have prayed and prayed over people, and we have not seen their healing manifest. Why is the question we often get? Why has God not healed me? 

I had the same questions. I have been healed of Lymes disease, stroke, fibromyalgia, arthritis, complex PTSD, allergies, carpal tunnel syndrome, disc disease, and a broken heart. I searched God’s word for answers. As I meditated on His word to find the truth, He showed me that God had provided us with the healing already. 

1 Peter 2:24 says, Jesus “….bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

This scripture says that by his death on the cross, you are healed (it is done, finished). 

I started to notice a pattern in the Bible. God calls something into being before it becomes. God says we are complete in Him (Col 2:10). It is done; we lack nothing. I started claiming what God has given me already. 

You see, “…. his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:” 2 Peter 1:3
