Have you put a contract out on someone?

Hit men were hired quite frequently in the past.  It was called contract killing.   Contract killing is a form of murder in which one party hires another party to kill a target.   It involves an illegal agreement between two or more parties. 

Provoked by lust of the flesh, David, a man after God’s own heart, contracted to kill Uriah, “So in the morning David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it by Uriah’s hand. In the letter he wrote, “Put Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle and withdraw from him so that he may be struck down and die.”   2 Samuel 11: 14-15

Have you put a contract out on a person?  

“Whoever hides hatred has lying lips, And whoever spreads slander is a fool.  The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor…  Death and life are in the power of the tongue:…”. Proverbs 10:18, 11:9, 18:21

Jesus said, “Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.”   1 John 3:15

“Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips.”  Psalm 141:3.  Heal my heart, Lord.  Take away all hatred, bitterness, and resentment in the name of Jesus!
