Have We Been Taught Unbelief?
Our earthly nature is to believe in rational thoughts and to analyze what we think is logical. But, when our minds have been renewed in Christ, this should not be so.
Just as Korah complained against Moses and Aaron, saying, ‘You take too much upon yourselves, for all the congregation is holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them. Why then do you exalt yourselves above the assembly of the LORD?’ (Numbers 16:3b) Korah was not recognizing the anointing that God had put on Moses and Aaron. Jesus experienced the same thing.
“’Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this Man get all these things?’ So they were offended at Him. But Jesus said to them, ‘A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.’ Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” Matthew 13:56-58 NKJV
Do we believe there is God’s power in the words of Jesus, or does His words seem not logical to us?
