Has your countenance fallen?

Has your countenance fallen?

Countenance is a persons appearance. Especially our face that reflects mood, emotions, mental disposition or character.

“So the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen (dejected)?” Genesis‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Notice Cain’s countenance had changed with his emotions.

It is so important that we reflect God’s countenance, “… Lord, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us. You have put gladness in my heart, More than in the season that their grain and wine increased. I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.”
Psalm 4:6-8

God’s countenance, his face, will shine upon us, grant us great favor as our hearts are aligned with Him, so we may reflect Him.

“The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”
Numbers 6:26

Notice when God lifts up His countenance upon you, you have peace and gladness in your heart
