Guilty Grieving?

Guilty Grieving?

I have actually heard someone say that a person is selfish when they grieve. Obviously that person was not an expert in grieving. Yes, we do miss our loved one, but grieving is a natural process. John 11:35, says that Jesus wept when he saw Mary grieving for her brother, Lazarus before Jesus brought him back to life.

There is, however, a time for grieving. We should not let our grief be so prolonged that it keeps us from living and relating to others. There are times in our life for different occasions. But, we should never feel guilty about healthy grieving.

“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to weep, and a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance.”

Ecclesiastes 3:1,4  NKJV
