I have heard many say, oh, I don’t want to bother God. He is too busy for my problems; this is a form of pride. 

Any life that is not submitted and committed entirely to God is trying to live a life independent of God; this is the motivation of pride, and pride leads to rebellion. 

You are either all in or out of God’s kingdom.

Pride is what caused the covering cherub, Lucifer, to fall.

“You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you….Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings.”
