Not just a greeting! Paul often started off his letters with, “Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” In 1 Peter and 2 Peter, Grace and peace are multiplied. “Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.” 1 Peter 1:2. Peter is not only praying that we receive grace and peace but that it would increase. We have a limitless, all-powerful God that grows us in the knowledge of Him in increasing measures. It would be reasonable to conclude that as we increase in the knowledge of God that His grace and peace would increase as well.
“Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,” 2 Peter 1:2
