Did you hear what happened to…… Gossip is an unconfirmed report about other people, typically involving details that are not confirmed as being true.

God frowns upon a gossip/talebearer, “A gossip betrays a confidence; so avoid anyone who talks too much.” Proverbs 20:19

When confidence is betrayed trust is broken, “The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.” Proverbs 26:22

Gossip can tear down the Lord’s child by speaking words that are not true. The solution is to pray about the words being spoken and for the truth to come out.

“Where there is no wood, the fire goes out; And where there is no talebearer, strife ceases.” Proverbs 26:20
