God’s will is that christians pray and receive what they prayed for, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” Mathew 7:7-8
Many do not see the answer to their prayers because of barriers between God and them:
- No relationship with God – Not to say He won’t answer your prayer. Yet, you are more likely for someone you know to answer if you have a relationship with them.
- Unforgiveness – “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.” Mark 11:25
- Unconfessed sin – “If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear.” Psalm 66:18
A word to Husbands
“Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.” 1 Peter 3:7
