“You shall make tassels on the four corners of the clothing with which you cover yourself.”
Deuteronomy 22:12 NKJV
The tassels that were put on the four corners of the prayer shawl was to be a reminder to do God’s will. Jewish men today still do this. We see in the issue with the woman with blood (Luke 8:43-44) that Jesus followed the commands that were passed down to Moses (Numbers 15:38-41).
“And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.” Luke 8:43-44 KJV
Why is this relevant today? It is a clear statement that Jesus came to do His Father’s will, heal the sick and He still heals today. The woman of blood wasn’t healed because she touched His garment… she was healed because her faith touched our Savior’s heart.
“And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.” Luke 8:48 KJV
