Does God Answer Prayers?

Does God Answer Prayers?

In Isaiah, King Hezekiah was told to get his house in order because he was going to die. King Hezekiah prayed, “Remember now, O LORD, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what is good in Your sight.” Then Hezekiah wept bitterly. God responded, “Go and tell Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the LORD, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will add to your days fifteen years.”

God even gave King Hezekiah a sign that God’s promise is true. “Behold, I will bring the shadow on the sundial, which has gone down with the sun on the sundial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward.” The shadow turned back ten degrees.

Isaiah 38:1-8

When we are in distress and cry out to God, He hears us. Whatever your loss may be that you are experiencing, God already sees your pain, but He wants us to ask for His help. God is a gentleman; He doesn’t intrude where He is not wanted, but He hears our prayers.
