Goals for the New Year!

I have set a new goal for the new year.  Probably toughest and easiest goal I have ever set.

The goal… “Be blameless”

“You shall be blameless before the LORD your God.” Deuteronomy 18:13 NKJV

We are actually commanded to be blameless.

“Let my heart be blameless regarding Your statutes, That I may not be ashamed. My soul faints for Your salvation, But I hope in Your word.” Psalms 119:80-81 NKJV

Meditating and taking hope in His word can keep us moving in the right direction.

Promise of blessings for those who are blameless

  • Blessed are those whose way is blameless! (Psalm 119:1)

We can be blameless before God by Keeping ourselves from sin and guilt.  Jesus took all on the cross.  Confess and repent.

  • I was blameless before him, and I kept myself from my guilt. (Psalm 18:23)
  • I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression. (Psalm 19:13)

Being blameless requires a focused and honest relationship with the one who created you, Jesus Christ.

Keeping sin confessed and character beyond reproach can only be accomplished when we keep ourselves clothed in His righteousness.  Ephesians 4:24-32
