Glory for shame

We can walk in a direction and step on or into something that we may surmise cannot bring glory.

While working on my deck, I turned and stepped right onto a nail. It went through my shoe and into my foot. The pain was excruciating. I immediately thanked the Lord that it was not worse and bound any accident spirits in the name of Jesus that may be trying to harm me.

Our Lord deliberately walked in a direction that would drive nails into His feet and hands. He did this for you and me. It brought shame upon Him to give us glory. If you feel shame over something that has happened (rape, molestation, abuse, divorce, loss of job), remember Jesus has taken your shame.

“Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.” Isaiah 61:7
