Getting back to normal

I am hearing many say that they want to get back to normal. What is normal? The definition of normal is to conform to a standard. Something that is usual, typical, or expected. Something comfortable.

We are in an uncomfortable state right now. This state requires us to look at what we have valued in our lives.

God sets up a standard for us and this should be the plumb line to determine normalcy.

“Therefore thus says the Lord God:

“Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily. Also I will make justice the measuring line, And righteousness the plummet; The hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, And the waters will overflow the hiding place. Give ear and hear my voice, Listen and hear my speech. Isaiah 28:16-17, 23

Let us look at Sodom’s failure and not make the same mistake, “Look, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughter had pride, fullness of food, and abundance of idleness; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.” Ezekiel 16:49

“Evil men do not understand justice, But those who seek the Lord understand all.” Proverbs 28:5. The righteous shall live by faith (Romans 1:17).
