We need to get a grip and focus on what is really important? 

Thoughts and desires to have a bowl of ice cream gripped me this week.  I wanted to go out.  I was being pulled out the door.  As a matter of fact, I grabbed my keys and was about to leave when I realized that I was willing to risk my life for a bowl of ice cream.  

We do this every day.  We give up what God is offering for some trivial lust.  
“But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.” James 1:14

We can’t take the bait.  

“Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.”‭‭James‬ ‭1:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬
