Freedom is not free

This memorial day be thankful that we live in a nation where we have the freedoms that we do. It came at a cost; men and women have shed their blood in service to this nation. So Christ also shed His blood and died for us.

“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” John 15:13

Every day we are in a battle, and it is a battle for our soul, a battle for the soul of our nation. Each of us needs to take an active role in maintaining these freedoms.

“casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,” 2 Cor 10:5
