Fellowship in Suffering?

I’m not sure that I know anyone who is looking for suffering. But in Philippians it says: “that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,” (Phil 3:10 NKJV) If we look closely, we all seem to want the power that comes with Jesus’ resurrection, which leads to overcoming death in eternity. But, are we so excited about going through suffering?

When we make Jesus the Lord of our life, we instantly are battling against evil. This is part of our suffering in this life. The good news is, our spirit has victory over the battles in our mind, or evil against us, because we are in a spiritual battle; not a physical one. But, we must be ready to give our lives for the sake of Jesus, just as He gave His life for us.

“Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you.”  Philippians 3:15  NKJV
