False sense of security

Where does your security lie? Is God your shepherd, fortress, high tower, rear guard, banner, shield, your LORD?

We have seen such insecurity and fear since the beginning of 2020—a year of vision. However, many were blinded, and those who had spiritual eyes could see clearer than ever before. It all comes down to where do you find your security.

Job declared, “A lamp is despised in the thought of one who is at ease; it is made ready for those whose feet slip.” Job 12:5

People who are at ease, proud, haughty despise the word of God. As a result, they know not who their security is and have a false sense of security.

We are reminded in Psalm 119:105, “Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.” If we have God’s word guiding us, we will never be in the dark (He uncovers the deep things out of darkness (Job 12:22)), and we will be able to see the way out when trouble comes.
