Faith-Things that are Not Yet Seen

Faith-Things that are Not Yet Seen

I have a white top that I wear with clothes when I want to dress more formal. I like it because it has a high neck and is versatile in my wardrobe. The last time I washed it, I saw yellow stains on the front that looked like rust stains. They were not present before I washed the top. Before I washed it again, I rubbed the areas with stain remover and soap. The spots were still there. After working on the stained areas for at least ten minutes, I started singing the old hymn, “What can wash away my sins, nothing but the blood of Jesus.” I finally put the top in the washer and said, “Jesus, You are the only one who can get these stains out!”

As I took the top out of the washer, the stains were still there. I decided to drip dry the top so the stains would not be set. I said again, “Jesus, You are the only one who can get these stains out. Please remove them.” When I looked at my top after it was dry, the stains were gone.

God is so good when He uses little things like a stain in a top to demonstrate His power as we ask in faith believing for other things in our lives that we do not see.

Such as healing; whether it is physical, mental or spiritual, God is true to His word.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Hebrews 11:1  NKJV

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus], the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”

John 14:12-14  NKJV

Someone may wonder why a stain removed is important to God. That stain removal has brought glory and honor to God.
