Many have been taught to pray for healing in this way, “Heal me, God, if it is your will.”

This brings doubt into the situation and provides questioning of God’s will in regard to our wellness. Those who pray for physical healing in this manner usually do not receive healing because they do not ask in faith. We do not pray for salvation in this way. Why would we pray for healing in this way? It is God’s will for you to be in health.  

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” 3 John 1:2

And when the people came to Jesus for healing, He healed them all (Mathew 9:35). God is our healer (Exodus 15:26), and He still heals today; He does not change (Mal 3:6).

Jesus says, “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” John 14:13-14
