Facing Rejection
As a young child I didn’t excel in sports. When it came time to choose sides for a team, I was usually chosen last or next to the last. Later in life I realized I was only inexperienced, not inept. But, the rejection had already taken its course. So, I find refuge in reading the scripture when it says: “And indeed there are last who will be first, and there are first who will be last.” (Luke 13:30 NKJV)
But when we look at Jesus’ life; He came to give His life for us so we can live in eternity, yet He was despised and rejected. But, once He became alive after the grave, He overcame death victoriously. It was prophesied in Psalm 118:22, “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.”
