David faced many enemies.  

“Be merciful to me, O God, for man would swallow me up; Fighting all day he oppresses me. My enemies would hound me all day, For there are many who fight against me, O Most High.” Psalm 56:1-2

The enemies and temptations increased as David got closer to God. He did not push away and try to deal with the problems alone. He humbled himself and sought God’s face for answers.

“Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face evermore!” psalm 105:4
