The fleshy self boasts in accomplishments without acknowledging God.

“May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” Galatians 6:14

We need to check ourselves to see who is getting the glory. All good things come from God the Father.

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” James 1:17
