Does God want me happy? If so, then why am I going through this…..

God wants you to have an abundance of Joy. He is a good Father and wants the best for you. However, at times, what we consider the best, is not the same as what God desires. Jesus came to give us the abundant life in Him (John 10:10)

God is working everything for your good, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

What you are currently experiencing or have been walking through is temporal. We know that suffering/pain/tribulation works for our good.

“…we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” Romans 5:4-5
