Does God always answer prayer? This is a difficult question. In the past, I would have instantly said, “Of course, he does.Sometimes, no is an answer.” Yet, in several places in scripture, God remains silent.

“Then they will cry to the Lord, But He will not hear them;

He will even hide His face from them at that time,

Because they have been evil in their deeds.” Micah 3:4

Yet, a righteous person’s prayers are answered: “The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.” Proverbs 15:29

He not only hears and answers the righteous’s prayers, but we are encouraged to ask anything, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” John 14:13-14
