Do you want to prosper?

So many today are preaching what they call a prosperity gospel. Christianity Today says that the prosperity gospel is “An aberrant theology that teaches God rewards faith—and hefty tithing—with financial blessings,

“God’s word says, “He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.” Psalm 1:3

So what is the condition that makes you prosperous? Step back a couple of verses, “Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.” Psalm 1:1-2

Do you want to be prosperous? Be a doer of God’s Word!

“Therefore keep the words of this covenant, and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do.” Deuteronomy 29:9

“See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.” Deut 30:15-16
