“Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding;” Proverbs 3:13

We are to seek out wisdom, and when we find it, we will be happy. 

God’s wisdom is not the world’s wisdom, “Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding.’ Job 28:28. Revering God and giving Him first place in your life is the path you need to be on to gain wisdom.  

God is the one who gives wisdom. “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” James 1:5 

So, you may wonder why you need to seek it out if God gives you wisdom.

When you seek the Lord and His wisdom, you are giving God first place in your life, and in turn, He is merciful and gracious to you and gives you wisdom.  

“Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.” Eccl 12:13
