We all want the New Year to be better than the previous year. We look forward to a fresh start and set goals to try and achieve this.
It is God’s desire that you prosper as well.
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” 3 John 1:2
The Greek word for prosper in the Bible is Euodoo, which means to succeed in reaching. What are we reaching for as Christians? According to Paul, “if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.” Phil 3:11, an eternal life in Christ. What could hinder this upward call?

Notice in 3 John 1:2 that being prosperous is tied to being healthy. A healthy person is whole and complete in Christ. Nothing in their life hinders them from loving their God with their whole heart, soul and mind. Set your heart this New Year to be steadfast in God and allow Him to do the inner work necessary in your life.
