Jesus asked the question of Peter and asks the same question of us, “do you love me more than these?” John 21:15. Jesus is asking do you love Him more than everything else.

Heart check: Can you say yes, or did someone else or thing come to mind first. He wants to be first in your heart.

“We love because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19

When you fully experience God’s love you do not have fear, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18
