Do You Have Wheelbarrow Faith?

Do You Have Wheelbarrow Faith?

I have heard the story many times about the man who walked across the Niagara Falls on a tightrope. Everyone cheered for him. So, he asked one person if they thought he could do it again with a wheelbarrow. The answer “yes” came quickly. So the man told them to hop in the wheelbarrow. Well, we know where the faith in success went at that point.

Often times I think we have the same faith in the Bible. We say we believe it, and in our head we do, but when it comes to putting it into action we are not quite sure. The best way to increase faith is to put God’s word to the test.

“And He [Jesus] said to them, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.’”  Luke 10:19  NKJV

I am not suggesting that we gather up snakes to stomp on them, but Jesus is telling us that we have all authority over evil in the name of Jesus. Nothing evil can cross the line that is covered with His blood that was shed on the cross.

So anything not from God (sickness, disease, death, addictions, curses, etc.) we have authority over it in Jesus’ name.

“Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”  Luke 10:20
