Do you have peace?

This question was posed to me shortly after my husband’s death.  As a proclaimed Christian, I should have had peace.  However, I didn’t even know what this person was talking about.  What is peace?  I pondered over and over.  It was just a word, wishful thinking, something distant and unattainable.  Through God’s grace, He gave me revelation into this mystery.

Through the blood of Jesus, I am justified, made righteous in Him. As a result, have peace. (Romans 5:1)

“Through the tender mercy of our God, With which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace.” Luke 1:78-80 NKJV

“The work of righteousness will be peace, And the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.”  Isaiah 32:17
